At Rufford we always Address the needs of the environment, local communities and the economy. Whether we are restoring a working quarry or maintaining a previously restored site, we work in partnership with local residents and wildlife groups to ensure that environments we create are consistent with local needs. It is an approach which has earned us no fewer than 20 environmental awards since 1994.
In terms of energy efficiency, we have cut emissions by over 24,000 tonnes. In doing so we became the first quarrying company to receive Energy Efficiency Accreditation from the National Energy Foundation.
